Day 01: DELHI - SHIMLA (365 KM)
The tour starts with a pick up from Delhi airport, train station or your given place of stay for a cozy and comfortable drive to Shimla. Starting as a humble outpost of the British empire in 1815, Shimla soon grew to be a power centre as the summer capital of the country. It’s salubrious climate has attracted travelers and tourists from far and wide. Replete with colonial architecture, your stay in the city will give you a brush with history. A welcome drink, before dinner, awaits you on arrival at your hotel.
Day 02: SHIMLA-KUFRI-SHIMLA
Starting out after breakfast, the day’s trip will have you visiting a lush Green Valley, a Mini Zoo, the Kufri Fun Campus and wander through Kufri before returning to the city. The evening can be spent walking down The Mall Road, visiting the historic Christ Church or shopping souvenirs in Lakkar Bazar. Dinner will be at the hotel.
Day 03: SHIMLA – MANALI (270 KM)
On day 3 the journey to Manali is an adventurous one with stopovers at Sundernagar Lake, Mandi, Pandoh Dam and Hanogi Mata Temple. Manali was the favourite haunt of two prime ministers – Jawaharlal Nehru and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and remains as one of the most popular tourist destinations of the country. The journey day will end with dinner at the hotel before you tuck in for the night.
DAY: 4 MANALI TO ROHTANG PASS UP TO SNOW LINE
Waking up to the sight of snow clad peaks, day 4 is packed with a snow adventures. A drive to Rohtang Pass will pass through Rahla falls, Marhi, Kothi and Gulaba; places that have a lot for sightseeing and spending time around. Rohtang Pass connects Lahaul valley with Kullu-Manali in the summer months. For half the year the pass is closed due to heavy snow. The closer you get to the pass, the more breathtaking and panoramic the views become. Should the Rohtang Pass road be closed, then a visit to Snow Point where ponies / horses can be hired will be organized. Dinner awaits you at the hotel before end of the day activities.
DAY: 5 MANALI LOCAL SIGHT SEEING
Manali is a treasure house of its own with much to see around. An early start after breakfast will give time for a half day visit to Hadimba Devi Temple, Club House, Van Vihar, Manu Temple, Vashisht Bath and the Tibetan Monastery. The second half of the day, do wander through the market, look up curios, shop woolens or buy souvenirs. Dinner will be at the hotel.
DAY: 7 DHARAMSHALA SIGHT SEEING + DALHOUSIE (150 KM)
Setting out early, check out of the hotel after breakfast to pay a visit to Bhagsunath temple, Dal Lake, the Tibetan monastery at McLeodganj (upper Dharamshala) in the forenoon before heading to Dalhousie (150 Km). Enjoy the vast scenic views on the way. Dinner will be served at the hotel of stay.
DAY: 9 DALHOUSIE TO DELHI (587KM) TOUR END
After breakfast and check out, on day nine the tour ends with a drop at Delhi or Chandigarh, airport, train station of the bus stand. We part as friends for life, cherishing all the memories that we gathered for the entire tour.
